Nordstrom Rack has revealed that it will open at 9:00 a.m. on Thursday, October 10, 2013, though grand opening events will begin at 8:00 a.m. The retailer will hold a "Rally at the Rack" with music, "breakfast treats," and giveaways, including 30 $100 gift cards. One $1000 gift card will be given away along with early access to the store. The announcement can be found at the Rack website, http://shop.nordstrom.com/c/new-stores-rack.

A TJ Maxx/HomeGoods store will open at 8:00 a.m. on Sunday, October 6 according to its website, http://www1.tjmaxx.com/tjx/grand_openings.asp. It will be located in the same big box area of the center as the Rack store. This will be the first location for each store in El Paso.
