An apartment building geared toward senior living is next to open as part of the Montecillo smart growth development in West El Paso, and a new website for the housing project is now up.

The View at Montecillo will offer urban apartment living to the “55+ Active Adult Community” in El Paso, according to the website (theviewatmontecillo.com), and will include several amenities within the apartment building. This includes a 24-hour fitness center, an onsite salon, a billiards area, a movie theater, and a resistance lap pool. Also included will be a pet park, a clubhouse, a bocce court, and an outdoor “entertainment arcade.”
There are six floor plans from which residents may choose, including three one-bedroom plans and three two-bedroom plans. They range in size from 610 to 1,066 square feet, with two bathrooms included in some units. Additionally, some units will have private balcony access.

The View at Montecillo website does not include pricing details.
It is just one of multiple ongoing projects at the 292-acre Montecillo development, which aims to bring 2,500 apartment units and 500 single family homes to the West Side in the coming years. Other projects under construction nearby are the Santi at Montecillo upscale apartments and retail complex, the TI:ME at Montecillo “non-traditional” shopping center, and the Montecillo Town Center.
No grand opening date has been disclosed for the View at Montecillo senior apartments.
