Digital Wall to Open on Valentine's Day in Downtown El Paso

The long touted interactive Digital Wall planned for the El Paso Museum of History will open February 14, 2015. The interactive wall will be made up of five 95-inch displays aligned horizontally that will allow users to interact with historic images and documents.

Work began on the pavilion that will house the TouchCity Digital Wall back in September, funded by voter approved 2012 Quality of Life bonds.

Officials have invited the public to submit historic photographs that will appear on the Wall periodically, hoping folks will share their "culture, history, heritage, (and) family." The website www.digie.org can be accessed to submit photos.
Construction crews work on the interior of the pavilion. Five giant plasma screens will be placed side by side to create the TouchCity Digital Wall. (El Paso Museum of History)

This will be the first TouchCity Digital Wall in the United States and will be located just outside the entrance of the Museum of History.

The Wall will be open to the public on Valentine's Day from 11:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. and has no admission fee.
