Two new eateries have opened their doors at the Fountains at Farah, both in the Promenade lifestyle area of the East El Paso shopping center.

Kona Grill, a self-described “casually elegant” restaurant that serves award-winning sushi as well as American favorites with an international influence, opens to the public on Monday, June 22, 2014. It held invitation only events over the weekend to prepare for the official opening.

The chain, headquartered in Scottsdale, Arizona, has 26 restaurants, including six others in Texas. The El Paso location sits near the middle of the Promenade area of the Fountains at Farah, which contains the lifestyle features of the center.

Another new restaurant on the Promenade opened earlier this month. Hana Banana Crepes is located at the western end of the Promenade median, in the same glass structure that houses Craze Frozen Yogurt. According to the Fountains at Farah Facebook page, Hana Banana serves crepes, waffles, banana shakes, honey tea, and coffee.

On the eastern end of the Promenade, a Sleep Number store has raised its sign on a previously empty building. It will be located next to the future Grimaldi’s Coal Brick-Oven Pizzeria. No official opening date has been announced.
